Our story began with us having green thumbs. We’ve always been interested in growing on our property and were tilling the ground here even before we owned the place.
Our farm sits on a quarter acre of land which forces us to be innovative and use smart small scale farming practices. In the early years, we tried to grow in a small homemade greenhouse that was destroyed by the weather. Then we built a sturdy shed with large windows, but It became evident pretty quickly that we needed more space.
We decided to increase our size and took the plunge with the construction of a new greenhouse. Our greenhouse is an engineered design, with passive solar heating innovations, and can withstand the harsh New Hampshire weather and deep snow. It gives us the ability to grow year-round. As the farm grows, we grow along with it and challenge ourselves to find better ways to grow safe, healthy food.
